Dallas Stars forward Jason Robertson declined an eight year contract offer from the Seattle Kraken worth about $15 million per season.
The Kraken had permission from the Stars to speak with Robertson about a sign and trade deal. Robertson, a restricted free agent after this season, turned down the proposal.

Robertson, 26, has been one of the NHL’s top scorers with the Stars. He played under his current four year deal that carries a $7.75 million cap hit. The Stars and Robertson have been working on a new long term extension, but talks remain ongoing.
The move shows Jason Robertson’s interest in other options as he heads toward free agency. The Kraken continue to look for ways to add top forward talent this offseason.
