Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continued to work hard through the end of the team’s 2026 training camp. The Chiefs completed their final practices on Thursday at Missouri Western State University.

Kelce, who is 36 years old and entering his 14th NFL season, is the oldest player on the roster. Head coach Andy Reid spoke to reporters about Kelce’s approach during camp. Reid said the coaching staff had to pull Kelce out of practices at times to give him rest.

“You have examples like Kelce, he’s the oldest guy on the team and came out every day and worked to where you had to yank him out of there to give him a breather,” Reid said.

Starting linebacker Nick Bolton also commented on Kelce’s effort. Bolton said there are no excuses for younger players when they see Kelce running routes and participating fully in drills.

Kelce has taken part in regular practice sessions throughout camp. He has worked on blocking, route running, and team periods with quarterback Patrick Mahomes and other offensive players. Earlier in camp, Kelce described the time in St. Joseph as a focused period for preparation.

Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles center and Travis’s brother, visited the training camp site this week. Fans gathered around the former player during the visit.

The Chiefs move forward from training camp into the remainder of the preseason and regular season schedule. Kelce remains a key part of the offense as the team continues its preparations.
