The Carolina Hurricanes announced the launch of their own sports network on Tuesday. The new network, owned and operated by Hurricanes Holdings, will serve as the local television home for the team’s games starting in the upcoming season.
Brian Fork, CEO of Hurricanes Holdings, said the organization is excited to provide consistent access to Hurricanes hockey for fans. He noted that the team will have greater freedom to deliver programming that connects the club with its supporters and community partners.
The network will handle production, distribution, sales, and marketing in collaboration with the National Hockey League. Play by play announcer Mike Maniscalco and analyst Tripp Tracy will continue to call the games on the new platform.

Fans will be able to watch Hurricanes games through cable, satellite, and streaming services. Additional details about the network’s name, branding, specific distribution partners, channel positions, and direct to consumer streaming options and pricing will be released before the regular season begins.
This move comes as the team’s previous broadcaster, FanDuel Sports Network operated by Main Street Sports Group, has faced operational challenges and is ceasing activities after the playoffs. Other NHL teams have also shifted away from that network in recent periods.
The Hurricanes won the Stanley Cup in 2026 and saw strong viewership during their playoff run. The new arrangement gives the organization direct control over its local broadcasts for the first time in its history in Carolina. The team’s flagship radio broadcasts on 99.9 The Fan will continue separately.
The announcement provides clarity for fans ahead of the 2026-27 season schedule release. The network aims to maintain the production quality fans have come to expect while expanding options for viewing the games.
