Stefon Diggs remains a free agent as NFL training camps continue across the league. The veteran wide receiver has not signed with a team for the 2026 season.
The New England Patriots released Diggs in March 2026. He had played for the Patriots in the 2025 season and recorded 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. The release came ahead of a salary guarantee in his contract.
Diggs faced legal issues earlier in the year related to assault and strangulation charges. He was found not guilty. The NFL later informed him that it would not suspend him under the personal conduct policy due to insufficient evidence.
Multiple teams have shown interest in Diggs. Reports indicate at least five teams have checked in on the 11 year veteran. Potential destinations discussed include the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens. Diggs is a Maryland native and has previous ties to the area through college at the University of Maryland.
Training camps are underway, and teams continue to evaluate roster needs at the wide receiver position. Diggs has a history of strong production across stops with the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Houston Texans, and Patriots. He is a four time Pro Bowl selection.
