Lions CB Terrion Arnold Arrested on Felony Charges

Detroit Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold turned himself in to authorities in Florida on Wednesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest. He faces multiple felony charges tied to a kidnapping and armed robbery case from February in the Tampa area.

The charges stem from an incident at an Airbnb Arnold had rented. Prosecutors say the crimes were carried out in retaliation for a theft there that included cash, jewelry, and other items. Arnold has not been charged until now, but the state attorney’s office confirmed it will file the counts against him.

Arnold, a second year player drafted in the first round out of Alabama, was booked into Orient Road Jail. Reports indicate the potential penalties include life in prison if convicted. His attorney has said Arnold denies involvement and expects the case against him to be resolved without charges, though the arrest has now occurred.

The Lions organization has been aware of the investigation. Coach Dan Campbell stated the team has information indicating Arnold was not involved. The case also involves several other individuals who have been arrested or reached plea deals.

Arnold remains with the team as the legal process continues. No further details on his status with the Lions were immediately available.
