Chicago Bears safety Coby Bryant left practice early on Monday with an apparent left knee injury. The incident happened during training camp at Halas Hall.
Bryant went down during a one on one drill against tight end Cole Kmet. He immediately grabbed his left knee. Reports from the practice field said he appeared emotional and slammed his helmet before leaving.
Bryant walked to a cart under his own power and was taken off the field. No official update on the severity of the injury has been released by the team.

The 27 year old signed a 3 year contract with the Bears this offseason after spending four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. He was expected to play a key role in the Bears secondary.
Cam Lewis stepped into the safety spot during the remainder of the practice after Bryant left. Other players continued with the scheduled drills.
Bryant’s injury is the latest development from the Bears padded practices. The team is in the early stages of training camp as it prepares for the 2026 NFL season.
Team medical staff is evaluating the injury. Further information is expected in the coming days once tests are completed.
Bryant has been a reliable defensive back throughout his career. His addition was one of the notable free agent moves for Chicago this year.
