Former NFL offensive lineman Jordan Devey has died at the age of 38. His wife, Linsey Devey, announced the news. He passed away on July 23, 2026.
Devey played eight seasons in the National Football League. He entered the league as an undrafted free agent in 2013 after playing college football at the University of Memphis. He spent time with the Baltimore Ravens, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland and Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills.
Devey was a member of the New England Patriots team that won Super Bowl XLIX. He appeared in regular season games during the 2014 season as the Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks in the championship game.
After retiring from professional football, Devey took on a coaching role. Earlier this year he was named the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Eagle High School in Eagle, Idaho.
Devey is survived by his wife Linsey and their four children. A GoFundMe page was set up to support the family. His parents have spoken about the importance of mental health awareness following his death.
Devey was born on January 11, 1988, in American Fork, Utah. He stood 6 foot 7 and weighed around 320 pounds during his playing career. He primarily played as a guard on the offensive line.
