The Miami Dolphins have agreed to terms with linebacker Jordyn Brooks on a three year contract extension worth $51.3 million. The deal includes $35 million in guarantees.
Brooks joined the Dolphins in 2024 after signing a three-year contract worth $26.25 million. In the 2025 season, he led the NFL with 183 tackles. He earned first team All-Pro honors for his performance that year.
New Dolphins general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan has identified Brooks as one of the team’s core players. Sullivan has also extended running back De’Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer this offseason. Those deals position Brooks as the next key veteran secured by the organization.
Brooks has been a consistent presence in the Dolphins defense since his arrival. He has recorded over 160 tackles in each of his two seasons with the team. His leadership and production on the field have made him a central figure in Miami’s defensive plans.
The extension comes as the Dolphins continue to build around their roster. Brooks is set to enter the final year of his original contract before the new deal takes effect. The agreement keeps the 28 year old linebacker under contract through the 2029 season.
The Dolphins have not released additional details on the contract structure at this time. Brooks has participated in offseason activities and has expressed interest in remaining with the team long term.
