The Buffalo Bills released their new alternate uniforms on Monday. The team calls the look the Nickel City set.
The uniform features a steel gray jersey and matching gray pants. The jersey includes blue numbers outlined in white and red. A charging buffalo logo appears on the left shoulder. The collar has the words Go Bills inside. Dark gray stripes run along the sleeves.
The helmet is royal blue with a red stripe outlined in white. The design focuses on a close-up of the eye from the team’s traditional charging buffalo logo.
The Bills described the uniform as a tribute to Western New York. The name Nickel City comes from the Buffalo nickel, a coin minted between 1913 and 1938 that featured a buffalo on one side. The team said the design reflects the strength and grit of the area’s working people.
Pete Guelli, the Bills president of business operations, confirmed earlier that the team would introduce a new alternate uniform for the 2026 season. The set is not intended as a primary look. The Bills plan to wear it a limited number of times during the year.
The official release followed several days of leaked photos on social media. Those images matched the final design in most details. The team posted a video announcement with the phrase “A blue collar town that never backs down. We are the Nickel City.”
The Nickel City uniforms join the Bills existing home, road, and other alternate options. Players will wear the gray set for select games in the upcoming NFL season.
