YouTube TV subscribers can now access ESPN Unlimited through a new account linking feature. The integration allows eligible users to stream content from the premium ESPN service at no additional cost.
WWE announced the update on Tuesday. ESPN Unlimited is available on YouTube TV for select subscriptions. This means subscribers can stream SummerSlam this Saturday and Sunday without paying extra.
SummerSlam is scheduled as a two night event. Night one takes place on August 1. Night two follows on August 2. Both nights stream exclusively through the ESPN App under the Unlimited plan for those with access.
To connect accounts, users open the YouTube TV mobile app. They select the profile icon, go to Settings, then Sports, and enable the Connect ESPN option. A prompt leads to an ESPN activation page where users log in with their ESPN account and confirm the link. Once complete, the ESPN app shows ESPN Unlimited as included with the YouTube TV plan.
The feature arrives days before SummerSlam. YouTube TV and ESPN previously reached a carriage agreement that restored Disney-owned channels and planned for Unlimited access. The integration also supports other features such as real-time fantasy tracking for sports.
WWE Premium Live Events are part of the ESPN Unlimited offering. Subscribers with qualifying YouTube TV packages that include ESPN channels gain access to these events through the linked accounts.
SummerSlam coverage includes pre show and post show programming available in the ESPN App for Unlimited users. The main event cards stream starting at 6 p.m. Eastern each night.
This update expands viewing options for YouTube TV customers who already carry ESPN in their base packages. The process requires an active YouTube TV subscription and an ESPN account for authentication.
