Big Cass Returns to WWE on Raw Gives A Big Statement

Big Cass returned to WWE on the August 3 episode of Monday Night Raw. He attacked JeVon Evans after Evans match against Ethan Page.

Cass then spoke on the microphone. He told Evans that the attack was nothing personal and that Evans was simply in the way. Cass said he is here to stack bodies and that Evans was the first.

The company posted the line “I am here to stack bodies” along with a note that Big Cass is a bad man.

Cass had been away from WWE for several years. He most recently competed in AEW under the name Big Bill. He left AEW and signed a new deal with WWE. The company had aired vignettes in the weeks before the return that pointed to an appearance on the August 3 show.

Cass appeared alone. His former tag team partner Enzo Amore was not part of the segment. Cass came out as a heel character and focused on physical dominance in the attack and the promo that followed.

The return took place in the first hour of Raw. Commentary noted the change in direction from earlier vignettes that had suggested a different tone. Cass looked larger and more aggressive than in previous WWE appearances.

JeVon Evans had just scored a win when the attack occurred. Cass targeted him immediately after the match ended. The segment marked Cass’s first live appearance back in a WWE ring in years.

Cass’s statement about stacking bodies set the direction for his new run with the company.
