The NHL has named its three finalists for the 2026 Hart Memorial Trophy, the league’s award for most valuable player.
The finalists are Tampa Bay Lightning right winger Nikita Kucherov, Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon, and Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid.

The league posted a graphic Tuesday calling the group “three stars, one MVP” and asked fans to pick their Hart winner. The actual award will be revealed during the pregame show for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final on ESPN and Sportsnet.
Kucherov, MacKinnon and McDavid were the top three vote-getters among players and media members. The Hart Trophy honors the player judged most valuable to his team during the regular season.
