Marcus Foligno of the Minnesota Wild has been named the winner of the 2026 King Clancy Memorial Trophy.
The award goes to the NHL player who best shows leadership on and off the ice and makes a meaningful humanitarian contribution in the community. Foligno and his brother Nick created the Foligno Face-Off this season to raise money for breast cancer research in honor of their mother, who died from the disease in 2009. The event brought in more than $200,000, and the trophy adds another $25,000 to the cause.
He was surprised with the award Thursday during a visit to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center. Nick, who won the trophy himself in 2017, was there for the moment.
Foligno is the third Minnesota Wild player to receive the honor.
