The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 4-2 in Game 5 of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night at Lenovo Center.
Andrei Svechnikov scored two goals for Carolina. Sebastian Aho also found the net as the Hurricanes built a lead and held off a late push from Vegas.

Brandon Bussi started in goal for the Hurricanes and made key stops in the final minutes to secure the win. The victory gives Carolina a 3-2 lead in the best of seven series.
Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday night in Las Vegas. The Hurricanes can win the Stanley Cup with a victory on the road. The Golden Knights must win to force a Game 7.
