The Hockey Hall of Fame named its Class of 2026 on Monday. The group includes five players and one builder.
Patrice Bergeron, Carey Price, Pekka Rinne, Keith Tkachuk, and Cindy Curley were selected in the players category. Brian Burke was chosen in the builder category.
Bergeron, who played his entire NHL career with the Boston Bruins, won the Selke Trophy six times as the league’s top defensive forward. He also helped the Bruins win the Stanley Cup in 2011. Price, a longtime Montreal Canadiens goaltender, earned the Hart Trophy as league MVP in 2015 along with other major awards. Rinne spent most of his career with the Nashville Predators and won the Vezina Trophy as the top goaltender.
Tkachuk, known for his physical style, scored 538 goals over 19 NHL seasons with teams including the Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, and St. Louis Blues. Curley is recognized for her contributions to women’s hockey. Burke built successful teams as a general manager and executive, including with the Anaheim Ducks.
The inductees will be enshrined in a ceremony in Toronto in November. The class highlights a mix of on ice excellence and off ice impact across the NHL and hockey overall.
