The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0 in Game 6 to claim the 2026 Stanley Cup on Sunday night.
The Hurricanes won the best of seven series four games to two. It is the franchise’s second Stanley Cup title and its first since 2006.

Captain Jordan Staal lifted the Cup. Coach Rod BrindAmour, who won the Cup as a player with the team in 2006, guided the Hurricanes to the championship.
The Hurricanes used solid defense and goaltending from rookie Bussi to secure the shutout. Goals came from players including Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake.
The win followed a season in which the team advanced through the Eastern Conference playoffs and reached the Final for the third time in franchise history.
