The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 94-90 in the championship game of the 2026 NBA Summer League on July 19 in Las Vegas. The victory gave the Warriors their first Summer League title since 2013.
Yaxel Lendeborg led the Warriors with 21 points and 10 rebounds. He was named the Summer League MVP for his performance throughout the event. Lendeborg, the 11th overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, also recorded two steals in the final game.
Deivon Smith added 21 points and nine rebounds off the bench for Golden State. LJ Cryer scored 15 points and made four three pointers. Will Richard contributed 13 points, four rebounds, and three three pointers.
The Warriors trailed by one point with just over two minutes left in the game. Lendeborg hit a go ahead step back three pointer to take the lead. The team held on for the win in the final minutes.
This marked a rematch against the Grizzlies, who had defeated the Warriors by 21 points earlier in the Summer League. Golden State improved its record to 5-1 in the event.
Lendeborg became only the second player in Summer League history to win both an NCAA Division I national championship and a Summer League title in the same year. He played a key role in Michigan’s national title earlier in 2026.
The Warriors roster featured several young players and recent draft picks. Lendeborg, Cryer, and Smith were among the top contributors during the tournament. The team advanced through the bracket with strong performances in both the group stage and the playoffs.
The Grizzlies were led by Cameron Boozer, who scored 19 points in the final. Memphis finished the event with a 4-2 record.
The Warriors claimed the championship trophy after the game. Rick Barry presented the award to the team during the ceremony. This title added to the franchise’s history in the Summer League competition.
