Trump said Michael Jordan is a friend of his. He noted that the two have played golf together. Trump described Jordan as a really good guy.
On LeBron James, Trump said, “I think LeBron is maybe he’s a racist. But maybe he doesn’t like Trump. I don’t know but I only like people that like me. So I would say Michael Jordan all the way.”
The remarks followed James’s recent announcement that he is joining the Philadelphia 76ers. James signed a two-year deal with the team for the upcoming season.
Trump and LeBron have had public disagreements in the past over political and social issues. Jordan and Trump have maintained a social relationship that includes golf outings.
