USA Basketball announced its 12 player roster for the 2026 FIBA Women's World Cup on Thursday. The team will compete in Berlin, Germany, from September 4 to 13.
The roster is led by A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever and Aliyah Boston of the Indiana Fever. Other players named include Paige Bueckers of the Dallas Wings, Angel Reese of the Atlanta Dream, Napheesa Collier of the Minnesota Lynx, Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty, Kahleah Copper of the Phoenix Mercury, Chelsea Gray of the Las Vegas Aces, Rhyne Howard of the Atlanta Dream, Kelsey Plum of the Phoenix Mercury and Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces.
Sue Bird, the USA Basketball women's national team managing director, announced the selections. Kara Lawson will serve as head coach. Several players, including Clark, Boston, Bueckers and Reese, will make their senior national team World Cup debuts.

The United States opens group play against China on September 4. Additional group opponents include Italy and the Czech Republic. The WNBA will pause its regular season from early September through mid September to allow players to participate.
Wilson previously earned World Cup MVP honors in 2022. Clark was named MVP of a qualifying tournament earlier this year. Stewart returns with extensive international experience. The group combines established veterans from recent Olympic teams with younger players who have shown strong performances in the WNBA.
The full roster consists of 12 players drawn from multiple WNBA franchises. The selection process followed training and evaluation periods involving USA Basketball staff. The team will prepare for the tournament in the coming weeks before traveling to Germany.
USA Basketball has a strong record at the FIBA Women's World Cup. The announced roster reflects a mix of returning players and first time World Cup participants.
