Sonia Citron put up 28 points for the Washington Mystics in their game against the Minnesota Lynx on Wednesday night.
Citron went 9 for 14 from the field, including 4 for 5 from three point range, and made all six of her free throws. She added 11 rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the effort.
The rookie guard had a strong first quarter with 14 points and kept up her efficient shooting throughout. Her performance marked another high scoring game this season as she continues to play a key role for the young Mystics team.
Minnesota pulled out the win in the final minutes after Washington held a lead late in the game. Citron has now reached 20 or more points several times this year and remains a central part of the Mystics offense.
