In recent seasons, Lowry played a limited role. During the 2025-26 season with the Philadelphia 76ers, he appeared in a small number of games and averaged 1.2 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in about eight minutes per game. His shooting percentages were low in those limited minutes. Earlier in his career with the Raptors, he posted stronger numbers, including career averages of 13.8 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game across 1,187 regular season appearances.
Lowry left Toronto in 2021 when he was traded to the Miami Heat. He continued playing for other teams but always expressed a desire to finish his career connected to the Raptors. The decision to retire his jersey next season connects his playing days in Toronto with the team’s history. The Raptors view him as one of their most important figures.
