The New York Liberty beat the Las Vegas Aces 93-85 on June 30 to win the 2026 WNBA Commissioner's Cup at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
Sabrina Ionescu had her best game of the season with 26 points. She made five three pointers, grabbed five rebounds and dished out five assists. Her late three pointer helped the Liberty close out the game.
Breanna Stewart added 25 points and 11 rebounds. The two players combined for strong scoring and rebounding that supported the team effort.
Jackie Young scored 31 points for the Aces and kept her team close at times. New York held on after giving up a big lead earlier in the game.
This marks the Liberty's second Commissioner's Cup title. They became the first team to win the event more than once. The win gives the organization a $500,000 prize for community work.
Ionescu and Stewart's performances connected directly to the team's ability to win on its home court. The result builds on the Liberty's recent strong play and keeps their season moving forward.
