Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown visited the Shaolin Temple in China’s Henan province on Tuesday.
The 29 year old put on traditional monk robes and trained with a kung fu master. He took part in basic martial arts drills and experienced the temple’s long history of kung fu up close.
Brown received the Chinese name Long Bulang during the visit. Photos of the session spread quickly on media, showing him working through forms alongside the monks.
It is the latest in a series of NBA players making the trip to Shaolin. Victor Wembanyama visited last year. Brown is in China during the NBA offseason.
