The Memphis Grizzlies picked Duke forward Cameron Boozer with the third overall selection in the 2026 NBA Draft on Tuesday night.
Boozer, a 6 foot 9 forward and son of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, played one season at Duke. He averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game. He earned Naismith Player of the Year honors and first team All American recognition.
The Grizzlies view Boozer as a key piece for their young core, which includes players like Zach Edey. Boozer said he is excited to join the group and believes the team can surprise people next season. He also noted the potential for strong rebounding alongside Edey.
The draft followed AJ Dybantsa going No. 1 to the Washington Wizards and Darryn Peterson to the Utah Jazz at No. 2. Boozer becomes the highest Grizzlies draft pick since Ja Morant went No. 2 in 2019.
