Naomi Osaka defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-2, 6-2 in the quarterfinals of the Bad Homburg Open on Thursady.
Osaka took control after an early exchange of breaks and won the last eight games of the first set. She finished the match in 58 minutes with strong serving and aggressive baseline play on the grass. Alexandrova, the world No. 19, had taken an early lead in the first set but could not keep up.

The win moved Osaka into the semifinals, where she will face China’s Xinyu Wang. It marks her first grass court semifinal since 2018 and keeps her strong run going ahead of Wimbledon.
