Madison Keys advanced to the semifinals of the Lexus Eastbourne Open with a 6-3, 6-1 win over fellow American McCartney Kessler on Thursday.
Keys controlled the quarterfinal match on grass and needed just over an hour to close it out. She will face the winner of Caty McNally versus Petra Marcinko in the semifinals.
The victory keeps Keys in strong form heading into Wimbledon. She has a history of success at Eastbourne, where grass courts suit her powerful game.
