Khamzat Chimaev defeated Dillon Danis by pin in the main event of RAF 10 on Saturday night at Chaifetz Arena.
Chimaev, making his debut in the wrestling promotion after losing his UFC middleweight title, took down Danis with a single leg and held him for the fall in the first round. Danis attempted a guillotine choke as the referee stepped in.
After the match ended, Chimaev kicked at the downed Danis. That sparked a large brawl as members of both fighters camps rushed onto the mat and began fighting. Security moved in to separate the groups while punches were thrown.
The incident overshadowed Chimaev’s quick win. Neither fighter addressed the crowd afterward, and both were escorted from the arena as the broadcast ended.
RAF 10 featured several other matches earlier in the card, but the post fight chaos in the main event drew the most attention.
