Portugal defeated Uzbekistan 5-0 in Group K. Cristiano Ronaldo scored two goals. The result gave Portugal four points from two games and moved them to the top of the group. Ronaldo became the first player to score in six different World Cups.

England drew 0-0 with Ghana in Group L. England had most of the possession and created chances but could not score against a well organized Ghana defense. Both teams sit with four points.
Croatia beat Panama 1-0. Ante Budimir scored the only goal in the second half.
Colombia defeated DR Congo 1-0. Daniel Munoz scored late to give Colombia six points and secure a spot in the knockout stage.
