Residents Paint Luiz Villar Street with 38 Brazil Flags

Residents of Luiz Villar street in Osasco, Brazil, painted 38 large Brazilian flags along the road ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The group used about 270 liters of paint to cover the asphalt in the national colors.

The street now stands out with the bright green, yellow, and blue design running its full length. Locals finished the project in recent days as the tournament draws closer.

Videos of the painted road have been shared widely online. It is part of a longtime Brazilian tradition of decorating neighborhoods for the World Cup.
