Real Madrid announced the signing of French defender Ibrahima Konate on Thursday. The 27 year old joins from Liverpool on a free transfer and has agreed to a four-year contract that runs until June 2030.
Konate spent several seasons at Liverpool after moving from RB Leipzig. He becomes the latest addition to Real Madrid’s defense, which already includes Antonio Rudiger. The move strengthens the backline as the club prepares for the next season.

Real Madrid posted an official statement confirming the deal. Konate is expected to link up with his new teammates in the coming weeks.
