Manchester City are preparing a new official bid to send to Nottingham Forest for midfielder Elliot Anderson.
City have led the race for the 23 year old since March and remain confident they can complete the deal. An earlier opening offer from the Premier League champions was rejected by Forest.
Manchester United have also shown interest in Anderson, but City sit ahead in the pursuit and feel optimistic about reaching an agreement.
Anderson has developed into a key player for Nottingham Forest since joining from Newcastle. No details on the size of the new bid have been released.
