Lamine Yamal has returned to full training with the Spain national team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Barcelona forward missed time with a hamstring injury but is now fit according to coach Luis de la Fuente.
De la Fuente said Yamal is in perfect condition and ready to play a few minutes in Spain’s opening match against Cape Verde. The 18 year old is expected to start on the bench but could see action as the team manages his return.
Yamal joins teammate Nico Williams, who also returned to training. Spain begins its campaign with the game against Cape Verde, where the young star is set to make his World Cup debut in a limited capacity.
