A large amount of England national team equipment was stolen from a van while it was being moved to the squad’s new training base in Kansas City ahead of the World Cup.
The missing items included players match boots, training gear, coaching staff equipment, balls, and match day uniforms. The gear was in transit from the team’s earlier camp in West Palm Beach, Florida, when the theft occurred.
Kansas City police investigated the incident and took two people into custody as part of the probe. The Football Association worked with local authorities to track down the stolen items and arrange replacements where needed.
Agencies reported that the majority of the equipment has now been recovered and two people are arrested. This development should limit any disruption to training sessions before England’s opening match against Croatia.
