Jose Bordalas has signed a new two year contract with Getafe that runs until June 2028. The 61 year old coach agreed to the extension after several weeks of talks with club president Ángel Torres and the board.
He had been linked with moves elsewhere earlier this year, but chose to stay and continue leading the La Liga side. Bordalas returned to Getafe in 2023 for a second stint and has kept the team stable in the top flight despite limited resources.
His style known among fans as “Bordalismo” emphasizes intensity, set pieces and defensive organization.
The deal was confirmed Tuesday by the club and transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.
