Willson Contreras had a busy night for the Boston Red Sox against the New York Yankees. He drove in a run with a single in the first inning and later hit a solo home run.
In the fourth inning, Yankees pitcher Will Warren threw a pitch inside that came close to Contreras. The Red Sox first baseman moved closer to the plate on the next pitch. After the at-bat ended in a walk, Contreras exchanged words with Warren. This led to benches clearing and warnings issued to both teams.

Contreras has played well this season for Boston after being acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals last winter. He has shown strong hitting numbers while splitting time at first base.
The Venezuelan player has spoken about the challenges back home and how they affect him. His performance has helped the Red Sox in their lineup this year.
