Kyle Tucker hit a three run home run in the second inning to tie the score as the Los Angeles Dodgers hosted the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night.
The Rays had taken an early 3-0 lead. Tucker connected on a payoff changeup from starter Nick Martinez for his sixth homer of the 2026 season. The blast brought the Dodgers even at 3-3.
Later in the game, Tucker threw out a runner at home plate from right field on a strong one hop throw. That play helped keep the Rays from adding to their lead.
Tucker joined the Dodgers this past offseason on a four year contract. He has settled into the right field spot in a lineup that includes several high profile players. The outfielder has shown power at key moments while the team works through the early part of the season.
The contest remained close after Tucker’s contributions. Both teams continued to trade opportunities as the game moved forward.
