The Texas Longhorns defeated the Oregon Ducks 6-5 on Monday to complete a two game sweep in the Austin Super Regional.
Adrian Rodriguez hit a go-ahead two-run double in the eighth inning. Reliever Sam Cozart then struck out four of the six batters he faced to close out the win. The Longhorns improved to 2-0 in the best of three series.
Texas heads to the College World Series for the 39th time in program history the most of any school and for the first time since 2022. Coach Jim Schlossnagle earned his eighth trip to Omaha overall, his first with the Longhorns.
Oregon, coached by Mark Wasikowski, saw its season end. The Ducks have now lost in the super regional round in three of the last four years.
