The Los Angeles Angels defeated the Baltimore Orioles 5-1 on Tuesday night.
Nolan Schanuel hit a two run home run in the first inning to give the Angels an early 2-0 lead. It was his sixth homer of the season. Zach Neto also had two hits, including a double.

Ryan Johnson started for the Angels and delivered a strong outing. He pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and one walk while striking out eight batters. He carried a no hitter into the sixth.
Vaughn Grissom added a two run single later in the game to help extend the lead. Ryan Zeferjahn closed things out with a scoreless inning of relief.
The win moved the Angels to 33-48 on the season. Johnson’s performance stood out as one of his best in the majors so far. Schanuel’s early power helped set the tone for the offense against the Orioles.
