Major League Baseball All-Stars were asked in a new video whether they could finish the 9-9-9 challenge. Almost every player gave the same response.
The 9-9-9 challenge requires a person to eat nine hot dogs and drink nine beers over the course of a nine inning baseball game. It started as a fan test and is now offered at several ballparks this season with smaller portions for adults.

In the clip posted by MLB, players explained their views. Many pointed out that games today often last only about two and a half hours. One player said he could handle the beers but would stop after around five hot dogs. Others replied with a clear no, calling the full task too much or something that would need weeks of training.
The answers show that even top athletes see the mix of food, drink, and time as difficult. The challenge remains popular with fans at stadiums, but the All-Stars made it clear they would not try it during a game.
