Jacob Misiorowski of the Milwaukee Brewers pitched a complete game shutout against the Philadelphia Phillies on Friday night.
The right hander allowed one hit, no runs and no walks over nine innings. He struck out 15 batters, a career high, while throwing just 95 pitches.
Misiorowski also recorded the fastest pitch by a starting pitcher in MLB history during the outing, reaching 104.5 mph.
The Brewers won the game 6-0. Misiorowski improved his record and lowered his ERA in the process.
The performance came in the opener of a series between the two teams.
