San Francisco Giants outfielder Jung Hoo Lee extended his hitting streak to 15 games with an RBI single Monday night in a 2-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
Lee drove in a run with the hit as the Giants took the game and the series in Wrigley Field. The 15 game streak is the longest active mark in the National League.
The South Korean outfielder has hit safely in every game since May 23. In that span he has posted a .483 batting average with six extra-base hits.
The Giants improved to 2-1 in the three-game set against the Cubs. Lee, who signed a six year deal with San Francisco before the 2024 season, has been one of the team’s most consistent offensive players this year.
