The Los Angeles Dodgers held on to beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6–5 Tuesday night in Phoenix, taking the second game of their three-game series.
Freddie Freeman carried the offense, going 3-for-5 with a home run and 2 RBIs. Shohei Ohtani went 2-for-5 with a double, a triple, and 2 RBIs. The Dodgers built a 4–0 lead through two innings but had to sweat out a late D-backs rally.
Starter Eric Lauer gave up 2 runs in 4.2 innings before the bullpen took over. Blake Treinen got the win. Tanner Scott closed it out for the save.
Michael Soroka took the loss for Arizona, giving up 4 earned in 6 innings. The Diamondbacks had 11 hits but left too many on base, going 2-for-12 with runners in scoring position.
The series wraps up Thursday night in Phoenix.
