Corbin Carroll went 2-for-5 with a home run and 1 RBI in Arizona's 6–5 loss to the Dodgers on Tuesday in Phoenix.
Carroll was one of Arizona's better performers on the night, but the D-backs couldn't close the gap against a Dodgers bullpen that held firm in the late innings. Arizona scored 3 runs in the seventh to make it close but left it too late.
Michael Soroka took the loss, and the bullpen gave up the decisive runs in the seventh when Kyle Hurt allowed 3 runs without recording an out. Carroll's home run came off Dodgers starter Eric Lauer.
