Colt Keith Hits Three Home Runs in Tigers Win Over Astros

Colt Keith delivered a standout performance for the Detroit Tigers on Monday night. The 24 year old third baseman went 3 for 4 with three home runs and six RBIs as the Tigers defeated the Houston Astros 9-3 in the series opener at Daikin Park.

Keith connected for a two run homer in the third inning, another two run shot in the seventh, and a solo home run in the ninth. His power display came after he had hit just one home run in his first 63 games of the 2026 season. The outburst helped the Tigers build an early lead and pull away.

Spencer Torkelson also homered in the game, connecting back to back with Keith at one point. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch noted the strong offensive effort from the team, which collected five home runs overall while the pitching staff limited the Astros to seven hits.

Keith has played a steady role in the Tigers infield this year, splitting time at third base and other spots. His performance Monday gave the club a lift as it continues its season in the American League Central.
